Have you been in the stores lately or heard people say Happy Holidays. What ever happened to Merry Christmas and instead of Santa and snowmen we are missing the truth about what we celebrate. I went to a local store to find items to decorate my house with the thought of the nativity scene but did not see one. Instead of Christmas pageant in school with the manager we call them "Holiday sing along" we are scared to say Christmas because of the word Christ. I think it is time for us to bring some of the past back be proud to say Christ he is why we all are here. I am going to stand up for what I believe. The truth is God did have a son that he brought into this life and Christmas is all about his birth. So why as a society are we not proud of this we have taken his words out of the schools and many people are embarrassed to stand up for his name.

Some tips are to have memories that share what the true season is about, Jesus's birth. It should be about the love God and Jesus has for us and how he wants the best for each and everyone of us. In the next few paragraphs are helpful tips to share with family.

Celebrate make a cake for the birth of Jesus and let the whole family decorate it and eat it together. Take picture of decorating it if you don't want to eat it you can take it as a family to a nursing home or other charities.

Don't be greedy be like Jesus and give back to the poor, needy, the hurting people, maybe the old ones. Think of your neighbors how you can help them out through the year. Maybe by mowing the lawns or just talking or just listening. Help out at local food drives, give old clothes or kids out grow clothes to needy.

Read in the Bible the birth of Jesus at one time or a chapter a night. Take a chapter a night with your family start as soon as possible. Make time for the truth in the Bible. In many Bible or book stores there are book for little children that moms, dads, grandparents and others can read to children.

Pray together as a family. Sit down at meal times and pray together. Have a family prayer time. Read scripture together and pray together.
