Can't you just believe in me for once? Just one time, I need you to do this for me. Believe. Believe, for once, that I will become that person. Dreams are ultimately reality, you told me. But just not for me, right?

I'm spinning now, in the streets. It's raining buckets. I'm soaking, freezing, shivering in the streets. The men in their business coats and briefcases stare- through thick-rimmed glasses. Dry.
"See me here, spinning?" I ask of them all. "I'm spinning and I know where I'll end up." I know I'll end up in my dream…
There's applause from the audience, they're cheering and chanting. Is it my name?
"Sherri! Sherri! SHEEEERRRRI!" it's all a roar, a beautiful song with one lyric: Sherri. A beautiful song indeed.
"It's time, Sherri," my manager pushes me out onto the stage. I'm deafened by the squeals of delight. They're all reaching out for one touch, I'll take pity on them and cater to their needs, entice them and then blow them kisses. I'll taunt them and play into their little games and then leave them hungry. Starving for more. Starving for me…like me.
