Millions of people make New Year's resolutions to change or improve their life or livelihood for the better. By simply taking the initiative to find a better job, you could invariably be improving your health, relationships with family and friends, future outlook, and self-worth. There are numerous options and resources available to those that want to change their job situation, if you choose to take action. Below are a few tips and pointers to assist you in changing your employment situation from a job to pay the bills to an actual fulfilling, enriching part of your life.
1) Make a full assessment of your current job. The positives, negatives, and such. You want to clearly delineate what factors are essential or detrimental to your working happiness. In addition, you don't want to opt for the first opportunity that comes your way, if you're gonna exchange a bad situation for the same circumstances with a new group of coworkers and a new boss. The amount of money you are being payed should not be a reason to put yourself in an unhealthy and under-appreciated work environment once again. For many, that is no problem. But, once you've wasted more years of your life dealing with work instead of enjoying it and feeling enriched, the more you'll realize that money and happiness don't always go hand in hand.
