How many times have you woken up to 5 offers in your inbox, all of which claim that they are the ONLY way to true financial freedom online? To be honest, it happens more than we would like to believe. So how exactly do you know which one, if any have even a hint of the truth?

First of all - anything that sounds too good to be true, generally is. Yes, it's rude. Yes, it seems hard to realize that all your dreams of being the next internet millionaire might not materialize. However, once you understand the immense amount of hardwork that you have to put in, and that it could take months to establish a decent income online, at least you'll stop wasting money by hopping from one program to the next.

Now, here are a few basics - never join without doing two things:

1. Go to google and search like this - XXXXXX review (where XXXXXX is the name of the "next big thing" on the internet).
You will get some direction based on what you read. Forums are a good place to go, though you want to take everything with a grain of sand.

2. Write to the person in charge (author if it's an e-book, or the creator of a program), and not the affiliate writing to you, and ask questions geared to get answers to these questions:

How much will I ACTUALLY be able to make?

What (and how many) hours would I have to work?

Do I have to sell anything? Do I have to post ads? Would I need to call someone? Would I need to pay a monthly fee? Would I
need to get people to join the program too? And so on.

These will get you some solid answers. If you don't receive a response at all, that's a good indication that it's not worth it.

Another important point :
If a product is sold as pure hype, you should stay away from it. There was this one page that sold a $97 e-book, and all it said was this - You can make a ton of money if you buy this. This is a secret no one else knows about. You'll be a millionaire within X months. This same stuff was packaged and repackaged throughout the site. It offered no explanation as to how you would make some money, or what the means would be.

Takeaways
  • ALWAYS ask quesions about the book or program you're about to buy.
  • Read a review of the the product on google or blogs and forums.
  • Read through the list of scams and actual opportunities provided in the article.
Did You Know?
Only 5% of people who ever start online work stick with it and make a decent income.
