couple days with members of the ship.

Knoxville landed on the USS Nimitz by way of a C-2 Greyhound in an effort to support the troops and shoot some footage for a project he is working on.

"I've never been on a ship before, but I have been 20,000 leagues under the sea at Disney World," said Knoxville.

Knoxville stated that sea life was not for him and stated that there was no way he could do this full time. "I'm definitely not as tough as you guys. You know I do a lot of crazy things, but after seeing this, I just have such an incredible admiration for you all," said Knoxville.

During his stay onboard, he was able to meet with crew members, take pictures, sign autographs, and just talk. When an alarm sounded to start a drill that the crew had to practice Knoxville stated that he wished they could hang out a little longer.

Johnny impressed the commanding officer of the USS Nimitz, Captain Michael Manazir, with his truly caring attitude, and he mentioned that he was surprised and that it was obvious that Knoxville was really concerned with the wellbeing of the crew. He also mentioned that he wore a smile the entire time Johnny was there due to the fact that the crew and Johnny were having such a great time getting to know each other.

During his stay, Knoxville also got the chance to eat with different levels of the crew and watch a few exercises. He ate in the CPO mess with the Chief Petty Officers, in the Wardroom III with the Officers, and on the aft mess deck with the enlisted Sailors. On the flight deck he watched plane launch and recoveries and in the Combat Direction Center he sat in on a brief.

Other areas that he visited included the brig, weapons area, and medical facilities.
