In society, people everyday argue what the definition of normal family values are. In many opinions it seems to me that what is considered a normal family is a mother, father and child/ren. Not everyone is granted a normal family. There are those who belong to one parent homes, living with grandparents or other relatives, adoptive parents, and even same sex parents. Every time I turn around it seems that people agree that they would fight to keep their free rights. Then why, might I ask, do we turn around and try and destroy what it is that we fight for? By determining that a gay couple should not have a child, we are taking away another's free right. Society views gay couples as living immorally and therefore corrupting any child brought into their home. There is the argument about it being unnatural for a gay couple to have a child. My argument suggests that it is not unnatural for these couples to adopt their child or go through the processes of in vitro fertilization. There are single women and unlucky couples who are unfortunately not able to have a child of their own that must do the same thing. So why is it that we are telling them that it's okay and telling others that it isn't? What right do we have to keep our freedoms when we would so easily take it away?

Gay families? What type of abomination is this? Looks like Satan did get the last laugh as he further perverts humanity and God's work. A man and a woman can ONLY created a natural and true family. Gays and even lesbians should NEVER be allowed to pervert that idea. It is disrespectful as it is repulsive.

Gay marriage is wrong: abusive families? fine. single-parent households? fine. but gay marriage? that is just plain wrong. kids will grow up sexually confused because, in gay households, the kids will see their parents having sex all of the time and they will be confused. right now, heterosexual parents are showing kids the right way to have sex. heterosexual sex is the only kind of sex that should be going on in this world. also, it's not like there are enough kids for gay couples to adopt. we don't need gay parents trying to adopt a kid... the kid needs to repent for their sins! The orphanages have lovely conditions and we need to start filling them up! if you didn't catch the irony in my statement, i'm sorry. everything that i just wrote was ironic. LGBT people should marry whomever they want and it is not the government's duty to dictate marriages.

PS. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone for those who are on the religious pedestal. God states himself that we are not given the right to judge another. It is His right and His alone and yet you find so many who claim that they are religious and ready to stone a person to death that does not follow suit to their own beliefs. As a Christian, I choose not to judge others and instead embrace every person and form of living that there is. To promote peace instead of fighting. Have a good day one and all.

You know Sooner, I am a firm believer in the fact that everyone has a right to their own opinions and I'm not going to defend my article by telling you that is wrong. I will say this, seeing as I believe that everyone has the right to their own opinions and beliefs, I do not see the point in fighting over the differences in others. Religion, race, sexual preference, etc. You have your pro-choice and pro-life advocates for example. Those for abortion will never be able to sway those who are against abortion and vice versa. Same with same sex couples. Those who are okay with it will never be able to change the minds of those who are against it and those who are against it will never be able to convince those who are okay with it to believe that they are living a "sinful" lifestyle. So what is the point in fighting over it any longer? Perhaps each side should leave the other alone and quit trying to convince each other. Instead we should just leave each other alone to hold our ow

Sooner65: you are so naive and ignorant, it makes me feel sick. Are you a member of the Westboro Baptist Church????? Sure sounds like it.

To Sooner: Typical ignorant hate speech. Where exactly do you get your argument that homosexuality is immoral? From an ancient text that promotes slavery, and stoning people for simple transgressions? The stupidity that you spread, it's a wonder you were allowed to have children. You are far more likely to confuse your young than any homosexual couple that I know.

Life style choices are not the same as race and to equate them is ridiculous. Same sex couples cannot produce offspring and therefore it is unnatural for them to be allowed to raise a family like normal couples do. It is also wrong to allow same sex couples to adopt a child since it will undoubltably confuse any child as to what is normal and what isn;t as far as sexuality. Our society is going to hell in a hand bag because we are being expoected to be tolerant of immoral and unacceptable behavior in the name of political correctness.
