My pimple on my nose was huge,
It made me feel so bad.
And all the people laughed at me,
Which made me very sad.

I tried to find an instant cure,
To rid me of this mark.
But nothing seemed to work for me,
So I stayed in the dark.

"No one shall ever see me again,"
I made a pledge that day.
"As long as this curse is on my face,
I shall always stay away."

For two long years my nose stayed red,
It was a horrible sight to see.
But then one day a stranger came,
And pledged that he'd free me.

"The reason for your awful mark,
Is written on your nose.
You use to me an arrogant lad,
And so the story goes.

If you want the curse to be rid of,
You must make a pledge to me.
That I shall be honest and caring,
And never self-centered to be."

I made the promise and instantly,
The horrible pimple disappeared.
I was kind, considerate, and decent,
For all the rest of my years.
