Dove® Deep Moisture Facial Lotion Review

Over the summer, I was looking for a product that would add moisture to my sun dried face, while protecting it from more exposure that I didn't want. And Dove® Deep Moisture Facial Lotion with SPF 15 UVA/UVB Protection did the job.

I actually received this product as a freebie in the mail. It came in a package big enough for what I thought at the time was 2 day's worth of lotion. I showered, exfoliated with one of the many products that I was trying out to find the perfect one (you can read about my exfoliating reviews by clicking on my name), then hopped out and dried off. I followed through with the ritual I usually go through, then I headed for my face. The tedious process of applying make-up before starting the day.

Before applying my make-up, I opened up the sample packet, read the directions, squeezed half the package into my hand, and applied. And applied. And applied some more. Half the package was way too much, and that was an understatement. I grabbed a cloth, wiped my face down and freed it of the excess, and stood to look at the finished result.

My face had a nice shine to it, not overpowering at all (and that's saying something, considering that I must have just applied 3 week's worth to my face at once). And even though I had JUST wiped all of that mess off, my face was nice and soft already. Now I could live with a product that works like that. The only down side to the product happens to be the smell. It smells like lotion, and nothing but. No scent at all to enhance it, and make it a little nicer on the nose, but the way this product left a silky feel on my skin, I could get over the smell.
