Recently there have been many safety and hazard recalls involving children's products. Those that have been keeping up with my content will know that I have been doing my best to keep up with those recalls. While researching the most recent recalls, I discovered there were a few that I missed along the way, as well as more than I could handle to write about in the past few days. I have decided to include here all recalls involving children between Dec. 1, 2007 and December 14, 2007. Some of these I have reported on and some I have not. The recalls will be listed in descending order, starting with the most recent published date and will include a small description, along with a link to further information.

Dec. 15, 2007 - Infantino Lion Teethers for Babies Recalled
Infantino has recalled its lion teethers, due to a choking hazard. The nose on the lion's head can come off easily, usually from an infant or child biting it off. The nose is small, so if bitten off or otherwise removed, it can cause a choking hazard to infants and small children. More information can be found at the following link.

Dec. 14, 2007 - Horseshoe Magnets Used In Schools Recalled
United Scientific has recalled horse shoe magnets that were sold to many schools throughout the nation, using independent distributors. The magnets come in various sizes and are used in school science classes for many different purposes.

Good job in keeping the rest of us up to date. This is a scary trend, especially for parents (and doting aunts!). Nice work.

It sounds safest to not get so many toys for kids.

Very informative info!..so scary to let the babies or kids have any toys any now!...

Good to know, as always!

Thanks everyone. LOL Melissa. I agree with Jacques. This is getting scary. However, I do have an article coming today that should help out parents of babies and toddlers with what toys to pick. It will list exact toys. Hopefully, I can get out another for older children today as well. :-)

Ms. Hincha-Ownby may have the solution. After all, how many times have we seen young kids cast aside those big expensive toys so they can play in the box it came in?

Terrifying, the number of recalls lately. My family has voted out any toys for Christmas - at all - because of them. No reason to take chances.

It's really quite frightening the amount of recalls that have happened in frequent months. I think I'm going to give the kids empty boxes to play with for the holidays! hehe Thanks for your reporting on this very important topic.
