Any Phoenix parent knows what the summer is all about. It is HOT. It is hot and kids are indoors. Now, you can take then outside to burn some energy and beat the heat too! The latest edition to the Valley’s Free Fun things to do is Splash Pads. These pads are water areas in many of our public parks. Children can play in the play ground then cool off under clever sprinkler systems designed to look like fountains, whales, spirals and more! Some are more elaborate then others, but they all do the same thing, cool you off! FOR FREE! Read on to learn about Free stuff to do for Kids in Phoenix!

Pecos Park Spray Pad: 48th Street and Pecos Road in the Ahwatukee Foothills area of Phoenix. You must enter the park from 48th Street, via Chandler Boulevard.

Altadena Park Spray Pad: 3711 E. Altadena Avenue. The nearby major cross streets are 36th Street and Cactus Road.

Arcadia Park Spray Pad: 3402 N. 56th Street. The nearby major cross streets are 56th Street and Indian School Road.

Edison Park Spray Pad: 901 N. 19th Street. The nearby major cross streets are 19th Street and Roosevelt.

Harmon Park Spray Pad: 1239 S. 5th Avenue. The nearby major cross streets are 5th Avenue and Buckeye.

Mountain Vista Park Spray Pad: 13647 S. 50th Street in Ahwatukee Foothills. The nearby major cross streets are 50th Street and Ray Road.

Barrios Unidos Park Spray Pad: 1501 E. Mohave in downtown Phoenix.

Nuestro Park Spray Pad: Ninth Street and Pima, south of downtown Phoenix.

Tempe Splash Pads
This is must see!
The Tempe Splash Playground is located at Tempe Town Lake at Tempe Beach Park near the entrance to the park at Rio Salado Parkway and Mill Avenue. With waterfalls, slides, whales that shoot water and area that is transformed into an oasis through the course of the day by recycling the water that flows over an under the entire area, this is a must stop for Summer free fun!
