Well it wasn't pretty but Tennessee got the victory it needed. Knowing that the Cleveland Browns lost to the Bengals, the Titans had a little extra motivation heading into this game. Tennessee gets the 10-6 victory over the Jets and now control their own destiny in terms of the playoffs. As ugly as it was, all that matters is that they won. Here is a look at the key game moments.

Tennessee drives 40 yards. Chris Brown scores a TD on a 4 yard run. 7-0 Titans.

Chad Pennington throws a 9 yard TD pass to Jerricho Cotchery, but a block extra point makes it 7-6.

Keith Bullock intercepts a Chad Pennington pass after the Jets elect to take away a field goal after a Titan penalty.

Rob Bironas kicks a 46 yard field goal to make it 10-6.

The Titans can thank their defense for holding on to this game. Kyle Vandenbosch had three sacks and was a monster on the defensive side of the football. The Titans got pressure on Pennington and made it very difficult for him to make plays down the field. Other Titans players who recorded sacks inculde Tony Brown and Antwan Odom.

Offensively this was not Tennessee's best effort. LenDale White was the lone bright spot rushing for 103 yards. White becomes only the 5th Titans to eclipse the 1000 yard rushing mark. Tennessee's quarterback, Vince Young did not have his best game. With the exception of a few throws to Roydell Williams and Justin Gage, Young seemed out of sync with his wide receivers. Young finished the game 12-22 with a little over 150 yards passing. He also had one interception. This was far from his best game and far from what Tennesee needs from him in order to win the big games. Whatever the problem was the Titans will have to play better next week, if they hope to beat the Colts.
