Christmas Love...at First Sight

In a manger, a young couple traveled from afar,
With anticipation and hope, a small babe was to be born.
An angel was heard on high, telling all,
That a king would be born on this very night.

The young couple traveled into the inn, without anywhere else to go...
And the young mother began to prepare for our Lord's birth.
Time passed by upon this Christmas night,
Until a wee cry was heard across the land. 

Mary's eyes illuminated with a soft warm glow.
Her soft touch caressed the dear baby Jesus,
As he cooed with delight.

Up above in the sky, the stars were all aglow, with hope to be felt across the world.
That night, a king had been born.
Our Lord had come.

The babe laid in the manger, swaddled in cloth,
His mother's heart, filled with joy and wonder.
Mary had given birth to our Father...
Our Lord and Savior.

The wise men came to see the little baby Jesus,
And to spread the word of the newborn King.
Gifts were brought in his celebration.
For his beauty and heavenly presence, was the most incredible thing.

On Christmas, when Jesus was born...all the world, was finally made right.
When Mary smiled, it definitely was heaven's pure love... at first sight.
