New Years Eve Events and Parties for the Northeast and North Florida Areas

New Years Eve is a time for celebrating with friends and family while saying goodbye to 2007 and ushering in 2008. The following is a list of parties and events happening in the North Central and North Florida areas.

The Ocean Club New Years Celebration -

New Years Eve Over the St. Johns River -

River City is hosting its annual New Year's Eve bash with live entertainment and fireworks over the St Johns River at Midnight. Visitors who are in town for the Gator Bowl football game on January 1st can get in on the celebration at special events connected to the game. Events take place from December 29 through 31 in downtown Jacksonville. The celebration on the 31st starts at 7PM and continues until 12AM.

Cost: Free for everyone. It is also free to participate in any events in downtown from the 29th through the 31st.

Beach Blast Off to 2008 -

The city of Saint Augustine is celebrating the new year with its annual Fireworks show on the beach of the St. Johns River. The festivities start at 3PM with the Fire and Ice Chili Cook-Off that continues until 7PM. Also enjoy ice sculptures, made by local ice sculpture artist Mike Riesmeyer that will be displayed near the chili cook-off. The Fireworks show begins at 7PM. This display is a real treat for anyone coming to town for the celebration.
