Today is definitely one of the busiest days at the post office of all. There are tons of people trying to send out gifts, packages, letters, and more, and there's also tons of people trying to get in to check their mail and pick up packages and gifts that have arrived. It's just really crazy out there. This is the last day for everyone to get their letters and gifts out in the mail if they plan on it arriving in time for Christmas. Everyone is trying to get there before the post office closes, and it's like everyone waits until the last minute because of the fact that they still had more Christmas shopping to do, or they were too busy to get it out sooner, or just didn't have the time or money to do so before.

Some of the post offices are so busy that you can't even find a parking spot, let alone get into the parking lot depending on which post office you go to. It's just amazing how many people you can see at the post office today. I don't think I've ever seen a post office this busy before. How is it that so many people wait until the last minute? It's just overwhelming and still something that's unbelievable.

This is the one day that they should have more people working in the post office so that you can get more people in and out. It's like they don't realize what kind of a turn out they would have by having this as the last day to get everything out in time for Christmas. I can't believe that they don't get better prepared and more organized for it. Some of the post offices do for the most part, but even the ones that do still aren't as prepared as you think they should be. They go through this once a year, and it's like they still haven't caught onto how busy it really gets each year.

Interesting informative article, although I am not sure that having a 3-day final Christmas mailing period would make that much difference. I expect that most people would still wait until the last day anyway. Also, I think it would have been helpful to have identified the specific post office where the "rude man" incident took place, rather than simply calling it a post office in Texas. I live in Texas and I'm guessing there are more (perhaps a lot more)than 1000 post offices in the state. I did enjoy this very timely article.
