The ending of some of the greatest TV shows have depressed me when I watched the last episodes. For example the ending of Friends, the group sort of broke up. At least most of the friends moved on enough with their lives that the group wasn't the same anymore. For God's sake Monica and Rachel moved out of their apartment! The whole episode was depressing. Monica and Chandler moving on to the suburbs, phoebe starting a family and Joey by himself in the apartment without Monica and Chandler across the hall!

Frasier's ending was the most depressing last episode I've ever seen. Frasier sells the apartment and moves to Chicago! How depressing is that. The entire group falls apart because the person who held it together is now moving to Chicago. This was the depressing part, that Frasier is moving away from Seattle and leaving the gang behind. Roz is now the station manager and Daphne and Niles have a baby. This was all great. They are still going to live in Seattle and near each other. The sad part was that Frasier is leaving and the group would never be the same.

I'm not crazy, when I like a show I get attached to the show and the cast and always find the ending episodes depressing, especially if the endings are like the shows of Friends and Frasier.

In my real life I have my own group. It consists of my 2 older sisters and a brother in law. None of us have kids. We go out every other Friday. Stay over at each other's homes and watch movies. We go on road trips. We are very close. I am the youngest in the group and am also very attached to my sisters and brother in law, a little too much. My sister and her husband are trying to have a baby. Of course I wasn't happy about that as the group would never be the same. They also wanted to move to another state. This made me very depressed. I have come to terms with it now. I have to. I know I can't do anything about it and decided not to dwell on it but rather move on. I just wished we could stay like this forever. If something is good then why change it. Life is short, I wish I could freeze a good thing and keep it forever. But I guess that's not how life works. I will always have the memories.

Nice write up of your thoughts. I agree it feels sad that such gret shows have endings that depress us. But, if you think, it is so close to how the real life is (even though the story of the shows is so far from reality). As they say, all good things must end for etter things. Same will be the case with your life
