She's known for having one of the best bodies in the business. Supermodel, Gisele Bundchen dominates the runway with her long, legs and long, slim build. Gisele is obviously blessed with good genetics and youth, but how much of her enviable body is related to good diet and exercise habits? Are there Giselle Bundchen diet secrets you need to know? Let's find out:

Giselle Bundchen diet secret: Cheeseburgers

Interestingly enough, Giselle was "discovered" in her early teens by a talent scout who spotted her in a McDonald's fast food restaurant. Most likely, she was eating one of her favorite foods, a cheeseburger. Giselle admits to a fondness for cheeseburgers which eats on a rather frequent basis.

Analysis:

Cheeseburgers are not exactly health food. Although they do supply a nice serving of protein as well as calcium, the calorie count of your average cheeseburger runs in the mid 300 range, not to mention the saturated fat. One could conclude from this that Giselle either has a very fast metabolism or has a very effective calorie burning routine. Most people would not be able to sustain a slim physique while eating cheeseburgers on a daily basis. A more varied lower fat diet that includes fruits and vegetables along with an occasional burger as a splurge would be more consistent with a sound and effective weight loss plan.

Giselle Bundchen diet secret: Yoga exercises

Gisele purportedly engages in a daily yoga and stretching routine each morning on a consistent basis.

Analysis:

Yoga has been shown to promote mild weight loss when practiced consistently over a long time period. Although yoga doesn't raise your heart rate high enough to be an effective fat burner, the mind-body aspects of yoga may help with depression which can be a stimulus for overeating. Plus, it may help you to get better control over compulsive eating habits. While yoga is a good practice for weight control, it's best to combine it with aerobic and strength training exercise to achieve a well balanced approach to weight management.

If she eats 1 cheeseburger from McD's a day and watches what else she eats, she is still in the low calorie range. I often eat 2 cheesburgers off the $1 menu and an pretty sure they are about 250 to 350 calories each. Still and average lunch. I'll even bet that if I had 2 cheeseburgers for lunch, and 2 for dinner I would loose weight. I don't like or eat their fries and just drink water.

Good analysis. I was surprised by the cheeseburger consumption, but the exercise no doubt helps balance that out.
