Very Early Signs of Pregnancy

If you're planning a pregnancy, then you may just be as anxious as I was month-by-month to find out whether or not you are indeed pregnant. Currently pregnant with my second child and having conversations with many pregnant women in the past few years, here are some possible symptoms that may occur in the very early stages of pregnancy.

Breast tenderness.
This is a symptom that many pregnant women claim they had in the early stages of their first trimester. Of course, many women also have tender breasts as a sign of premenstrual syndrome so you could very well mistaken your sore breasts for your period about to begin.

Fatigue.
With my current pregnancy, I began feeling fatigued even before my period was due to begin. I found myself going to bed an hour earlier for a couple nights before my missed period was detected.

Feeling out of sorts.
Even before a missed period, many women say they felt as if they were "coming down with something." Feeling out of sorts, like something just wasn't right. Well, instead of actually coming down with a cold or the flu, etc., they were pregnant! In addition to feeling fatigued, this is one symptom that I felt a day or two before my missed period with my current pregnancy.

Cramping (or lack thereof).
With both of my pregnancies, I was feeling a bit of cramping before my missed period. With my first, this made me think that I was not pregnant as cramping was a sign that I was going to begin my period. With my second pregnancy, however, I would always cramp a bit before my period was due to come, and I had absolutely no cramping up until the day I took my pregnancy test. This made me think that I was indeed pregnant as I would have expected to feel cramping if my period were due.
