There are many tourist attractions in Maryland and Washington, DC. One favorite places to visit during the summer is the Baltimore Inner Harbor, located in downtown Baltimore. The Inner Harbor, a historic seaport in the 1700’s that has now transformed into the cities landmark, has been a popular Baltimore spot for people to visit all year long.

There are tons of restaurants, shops, and museums at the Baltimore Inner Harbor. The most popular attraction at the Inner Harbor is the National Aquarium in Baltimore. People really come to see the spectacular dolphin show, but there are over 560 different species such as sharks, sting rays, and tropical birds to see. I recently visited the aquarium with my family. My one-year old daughter was very excited to see all the big fish and sharks in the huge glass tank that surrounded us and I always enjoy the tropical rainforest, a replica of an actual rainforest with tons of different tropical birds. The aquarium has specific times for entry so it may be a good idea to visit their website to purchase tickets online to ensure that you are able to get in at the time that you want.

At the Harbor Place and Gallery, you can shop for Baltimore Inner Harbor souvenirs or eat at one of the many restaurants and eateries such as. The Harbor Place connects to the Gallery, a four-level shopping mall with tons of clothing stores for men, women, and children.
