In the city of Binghamton, NY there are many great restaurants to eat at with friends and family. The city is basically a college town since it wouldn't survive without the presence of Binghamton University and its fifteen thousand students. However, to many students and visitors, the only restaurants in the entire city are the chain restaurants of Olive Garden, Red Lobster and IHOP. Well not to worry, I have developed a top 5 list of the best restaurants that you've never heard of until now.1. Grandes Bella Cucina: This fine restaurant is my favorite place to eat. The food is absolutely delicious. I recommend trying the Penne ala Vodka which is thick pasta in a rich creamy pink sauce. The main courses all come with either a salad or soup. The only downside to this amazing restaurant is with pricing when it comes to drinks and deserts. While it is common knowledge that restaurants will overcharge you for drinks and deserts, Grande's Bella Cucina really takes advantage of this. Sodas are $3.50 and deserts are $7. Although I must say that the desert I had, a triple layer cheesecake was absolutely delicious. My taste buds in my mouth tickled with flavor. On the other hand, the prices for the main courses were very reasonable as my course of pasta was a very affordable $12 which as I previously mentioned, came with pasta. The service is very good although the food comes out very slowly which a good or bad thing is depending if you are in a rush or not. There is plenty of seating so you won't have to wait long for a table.
