Like decorating any room, you want to have the right color and design to match it. While some design work great for adult rooms, kids’ rooms are a different story. To design the perfect kids’ room, you need to match their imagination and your inspiration together.

When Designing rooms for kids, the 1st objective is to plan ahead. Your cute little baby will grow up into a toddler, then a school age child in years. That means your child’s room has to be built for the long term. When they grow up, their rooms grow up with them. That includes getting the right bed, dresser, furniture and paint scheme to the room right for your child.  Once that's out of they way, the way to make it cool for kids is about to being. Here are some good themes for Kids Room:

Space Room: Every kid dreams of being an astronaut. Now, you can give them something to let their imagination run wild. The room will have stars, moon and rockets painted in the ceiling and wall. In addition, you can create a mini space station inside.

Superhero Room: Every kid dreams of being a superhero. They like to have superpowers unlike any before them. Now, you can create this hero theme room straight out of the comic books. You can paint the room with the colors of their superheroes. You can get bedding and furniture that matches their heroes.

Racetrack Room: Does your kid dream of being the next Mario Andretti or Dale Earnhardt? Then, you can give them the thrill or excitement of Indy Motor Speedway or Daytona right at home. The room will look like he’s at the races. From Toy cars to checked flag paint, the room won’t slow down the fun.

The Princess/Queen Room: Every girl wants to be a princess. Now, you can give your daughters the royal treatment they deserve. Pink would be the perfect color for the room. Plus, you can give them a powder room along side their bed, dresser and mirror.

The Prince/King Room: Every boy wants to be a princess. Now, you can give your sons the royal treatment they deserve. Royal Blue would be the perfect color for the room. Plus, you can give them a throne along side their bed, dresser and mirror.

Nice article with good advice. We just recently redid my daughters room and let her pick the colors. Of course she picked a shade of pink for the walls which are also adorned with Disney Princess Decorations. I like the themes you listed. Good job.
