Unless you are staying at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa, you may miss dining at DK Steakhouse, and that would be a shame. DK Steakhouse is one of Honolulu's newest steakhouses, and also one of the city's best. Here is a restaurant review of DK Steakhouse in Waikiki, Hawaii. Located on the second floor at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa, at 2552 Kalakaua Avenue, DK Steakhouse is a high-end restaurant that exceeds expectations. On their web site (dksteakhouse.com), DK Steakhouse asks "What could be better than enjoying a great, juicy steak and a fabulous glass of wine while enjoying a view of the most famous beach on Earth?" Their answer, as well as mine, is not much.
DK Steakhouse is open only for dinner, but it is sure to be a dinner you will never forget. You can start with one of their mouth-watering appetizers - the monster shrimp cocktail, the DK Steakhouse crab cakes, or their classic escargot. Then a soup or salad, and onto the entrees. I highly recommend their surf and turf selections - filet mignon and lobster tail is easily my favorite. If you just want beef, try their signature 22 ounce bone-in rib eye, or their 14 ounce New York Strip. You simply cannot go wrong with any of their entrees, including their seafood - one pound Alaskan King crab legs, Caribbean lobster tail, or monster shrimp scampi.
And you absolutely have to save room for dessert. Chocolate-chocolate decadence cake, banana foster (my favorite), homemade cheesecake or creme brulee.
Plan on spending anywhere between $20 and $40 for an unforgettable entree and up to twelve dollars for appetizers. Every bite is well worth the cost. The restaurant itself is simple yet elegant. And the service at D.K. Kodama's restaurant is impeccable. DK Steakhouse shares space with Kodama's Sansei Seafood Restaurant, and if you sit at the bar, you can order food from either place. Nifty if you and your guests cannot agree on where to eat.
