Paintball is a fast, thrilling and adrenaline-pumping game that gets everyone excited. Unfortunately, most rush into the game without proper consideration for safety. At that thrilling moment, injuries and safety concerns are far from their minds. However, as paintball is a fast-paced dangerous game, safety should be of a primary concern. A person must don all the protective gear to ensure his wellbeing. There are some of the paintball equipment that one needs for a proper protection and to execute the game well:

Your paintball mask. This is the essential piece of equipment that you must have even if you don't own any other. If you do not have this, you should consider not joining in the game for the time being. Your paintball mask should already contain a goggle or visor to keep your eyes safe from paintballs or paintball splatters. However if it doesn't, you can purchase the goggles separately and wear them simultaneously.

You require a paintball rifle as you need to eliminate your opponent via shooting them with paintballs.

Paintballs area needed as your ammunition in the game. It is fired by your air-pressurized rifle. Do fire only if you are sure of a shot, or if you do not have good marksmanship, then do load up or stock up with as many paintballs as you can.

Your rifle muzzle should, if possible, be fitted with a brass barrel as these are the best you can get in the market. It enables you to direct your paintball accurately to reduce paintball wastage. Moreover, they are less expensive and create less heat through less friction. You do not want to accidentally burn yourself by touching a heated muzzle.

To actually be able to shoot your paintball, you need an air tank, which is either attached in the gun, or slung, on your back. If you prefer increased mobility, then fit it in your gun for greater ease of movement.

There are other gears, including a backpack, gun-sight or gloves that you might want to consider obtaining. These are useful in any game as the user will require less manual work for the game. Instead of lugging your paintballs around with you, they are kept safety in your backpack, for instance.
