Week 16 NFL Predictions -- Playoff Implications Abound!

Season Record of 143-80

With the NFL playoffs looming just around the corner, the playoff contenders are beginning to make their moves. This week should do wonders to clear the murky playoff picture. Trying to make NFL predictions is a tricky
business at best, and last week showed why. Virtually every team that should have lost won, and vice versa. Such is the life of an NFL prognosticator, and like a defensive back with a short memory of being burned on the last pass, I will drive forward with confidence into this week 16 slate of NFL predictions.

Pittsburgh at St. Louis â€" The Steelers laid an egg against a talented Jaguars squad last week, and should be ready to show they are still someone to contend with in the AFC. Steeler fans beware as the Rams are no pushovers at home in the dome. Steelers win

Dallas at Carolina â€" The Panthers had a brand new outlook with fresh faced rookie Matt Moore under center. There was a strange sense of calm over the team that reflected in their play on the field. Carolina will shock the Cowboys as the Boys may rest starters as well. Panthers win

Oakland at Jacksonville â€" Jacksonville is on a roll and the Raiders are getting rolled. Jaguars win.
Philadelphia at New Orleans â€" The Eagles pulled off an upset of the Cowboys this past week and are now primed and ready to take out another playoff pushing team. The Saints have found the offense now that Brees and company are clicking. Look for a hard fought victory from the Eagles. Eagles win.

Kansas City at Detroit â€" The Chiefs and the Lions are a match up of two teams that truly should have been better than they ended up this season. The Lions in particular went from playoff certain to playoff eliminated in record time. The Lions will get a small measure of respect back. Lions win.

Cleveland at Cincinnati â€" The Browns are headed to the playoffs and the Bengals are headed to the off season. These teams do not like each other and they will fight till the final gun. The Browns will come out on top. Browns win
