This year, I have enjoyed reading all the great articles about the presidential campaign. Given what most Americans now think of George Bush, all of us have a keen interest in who our next president will be and how he or she will right the wrongs created during the last eight years.

So that more attention would be paid to some of the wonderful "citizen journalism" this site has featured, here are some of my top picks for your enjoyment.

Hillary in 2008 - Would the First Woman President Change the Course of Feminism in America?

This insightful article points out how Hillary is taking more grief than a man would, and speculates as to how a woman President would change our society. It also caustically describes the sexist slams the Right have taken - such as a T-shirt on a pro-Right site with the slogan, " Vote for Hillary, War Once a Month". I agree with the author, women are sick and tired of these generalizations and just might vote for Hillary to pull the chauvinists out of office. Hillary is not my favorite candidate, but I really hate seeing all independent women put down through her candidacy.

What Sound Bites Are Reported During the Presidential Campaign and Why

Written back in May, this article really made me think about all the marketing and PR efforts that are put into sound bites. Sound bites stick with us more than we may be consciously aware, and can influence our thinking - and voting. The article also admonishes us to look beyond sound bites to see the real stances on real issues each candidate has.

MySpace Enters the 2008 Presidential Campaign

This campaign will go down in history as the first campaign where social networks and the Web played a large part in who won. It really is an indicator of the rapid culture shifts we have experienced, and is directly analogous to JFK's win because he played well on television for the first time in the 1960s. Who will be the MySpace sweetheart? Right now, Obama is doing very well in this venue.

Cynthia Mckinney? bwahahahahahaa! Listen, McKinney is a feminist, an American hater, and a race baitor. How can that help when she does not even like the American military? No one in their right mind would vote for McKinney other than Blacks who hate Whites. Have you even paid attention to her words in the past few years? How can a radical Black feminist be a good choice for president?

I agree with some of your comments and am not voting for HIllary. My comments in the article were just to say that I felt the men were showing their true colors by MAKING the race a gender one, and overtly slamming women. I am a McCain support and volunteer myself. I think John McCain is the only one running who has the strength, prior military experience, compassion, and intelligence to be our next president.

Hillary has become what Maya Angelou cautions against. Hillary values power and money over life and love. Cynthia McKinney would be a much better choice for President due her ability to make good choices in voting. Countries that hire lobbyist to push their agenda In DC: Peru, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Kurdistan Regional Government, Dubai, Turkey, Ehtiopia, Mexican Senate, China, Canada, Taiwan, Morrocco. Their lobbyist in turn donate to Presidential candidates campaign funds. 12 of these lobbyist have donated to the funds of John McCain, Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney. Those 12 represent a cross section of the listed countries. Bill Clinton is hurriedly tried to end his association with Dubai. Hillary cited Bush family involvement in Dubai as a "conflict of interest" and yet she was in a position in the Senate to vote to favor her husband's Dubai pals or "conflict of interest". Vote for gender or study and vote based on knowledge.

I do not know if I read any of those particular articles because you did not mention authors. I have to comment on your first one. Hillary certainly is changing the course of feminism by setting it back a few decades. Males are now saying: that is the reason women should not be allowed to vote (voting on gender; can not handle pressure of campaigning; 'that time of the month' emotional outburst). We are traitors if we do not vote for her? Hillary is a Hawk that is not a generalization but a fact. She has already voted yes to the Iran Resolution that passed in the Senate. Her "the boys are beating me up" forgot to mention her beating the boys up. Hillary represents corruption and lies that I want out of the White House. My main reason for wanting a female president is their natural tendency to compassion, empathy and diplomacy would make them Doves. She shed not a tear for the Iraqi female, children and babies nor our troops females (see Code Pink).
