Have you ever asked yourself: why do we buy products? More importantly, what makes a product our favorite brand? Big marketing ideas equal big business for companies. Perhaps, we're committed to buying products over and over again because there is something that we believe that makes our chosen product the best. That catchy phrase or exciting jingle sticks out in our minds. Companies have become larger and stronger because of our consumer buying power. Knowing what makes the mind tick equals direct dollar signs for the sellers. In fact, understanding the power of repetition is one key to effective marketing.

According to, Dr. Lars Perner of the Marshall School of Business in Los Angeles California, it all comes down to this, "... by understanding that a number of different messages compete for our potential customers' attention, we learn that to be effective, advertisements must usually be repeated extensively".
