My Space is a wonderful tool for reconnecting with lost friends from high school or college. One can even find their grade-school or teenage crush if they have a MySpace page. What is wonderful about MySpace is by adding people to your friend list, others can find you, or you can find people you never dreamed of contacting via your added friend as well. I was invited into the MySpace world through an old boyfriend's brother, who I had been friends with as well. My friend still is a cool guy, and I was intrigued and delighted when he invited me to join MySpace, adding me to his friends list after I accepted his warm invitation.
In no time at all, I was hooked. I loved the easy system MySpace provides for adding friends, searching for people, even making cool background pages to individualize my site. I love the choices and bonus sites such as PimpMyProfile.com and Revolution MySpace, that allows users to freely copy code and paste it in their MySpace profile to "pimp" out their MySpace page to professional and glitzy status.
In no time I became good at designing my site, and eventually got rid of my own professional .com website, which sat back in cyberspace drifting about, with many hits, yet little feedback.
MySpace is wonderful because there is so much feedback, on a daily basis! I communicate with people I haven't seen in twenty years. I even came into contact with partial relatives I never met to pass along family messages, others I hadn't heard from in years, and old friends from high school that I only dreamed about being able to communicate with again, but didn't know how to reach, or where they were living, for that matter. With MySpace, anything is possible, and you can keep your profile set to private so only your friends can see, if you so choose. This is especially good for anyone under the age of eighteen.
