Amidst Hamas's unprecedented and shocking calls for a truce with Israel, which runs counter to its very claim that it will never tolerate peace with the Jewish state otherwise known as the "Zionist Entity" or "Occupying Force", concerned analysts have noted that it is not linked to the recent stepping up of Israeli air strikes into the Gaza Strip, and certainly has nothing to do with the planned ground invasion of the area.

Chief Analyst John D. Nile of the Institute for Military Analysis in the Middle East Against Zionism told reporters at a press conference today that he's confident that the economic sanctions factored far more into Haniyeh's decision to break Hamas's charter than the routine assassinations and air strikes carried out against Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets.

"The fact that Israel has upped its air strikes in recent days is entirely coincidental," he told reporters over closed circuit media, "I'd argue that it's actually dangerous to suggest a correlation between the two. I can conclusively state that it was the harsh economic sanctions and international isolation of Hamas that resulted in their recent calls for a cease fire with the Zionist Occupiers - the increased air strikes just happened to occur when Hamas was most effected by the United States' and Britain's brutal demonization of a democratically elected government."

The notion of peace with Israel has been considered strictly off the table by the hard line Hamas faction, which early this year ousted its rival and more moderate Fatahs over a number of key political misunderstandings, specifically the right of Jews to not be exterminated. Despite a stern criticism from the West, Hamas long stood strong in its condemnation of Judaism and Zionism, until militant leader Ismail Haniyeh appealed for peace over Israeli media.
