Just in case your Mother or sister isn't around to let you know

Beauty Blunders and ways to over come them

Shaved Eyebrows

I know that you have seen some women that have done this before. Shaved the entire eyebrow, only to draw a line in its place, that smears and fades off by the end of the day. It takes months to re-grow the eye brow back out, if it will grow back at all. Keep your eyebrows natural looking. Visit a salon if you don't want to tweeze and shape them yourself. Note:It has been proven that fuller eye brows tend to make a woman look younger

Lipstick on teeth

I've been guilty of this one before , which makes my husband laugh hysterically! Always blot your lips after applying your lipstick, then check your teeth. Note:If you stick your finger in your mouth and pucker up, this will cause the excess lipstick to go on your finger and not on your teeth.

Facial Hair

A "five o'clock shadow" is very sexy on some men but not on a woman! If you have excess hair or even dark fuzz on your face you need to get rid of it! ( under certain lightenings it will show up and can make you look rather masculine). Note:There are excellent lasers now that will take this hair off, in most cases permanently

Tarantula eyelashes

Long eyelashes are very pretty , in fact they now have extentions that you can put on your existing eyelashes to make them longer, but over mascared eyelashes can look like creepy spider legs. Note:Too much mascara can even make your eyelashes fall out

Orange faces (self tanners) (foundation)

ok, you have seen this and could have been a victim of this yourself. self tanners have come a long way but using a self tanner that may be too dark for your skin and may leave you looking like a pumpkin. Always exfoliate your skin before you apply the self tanner and do a little "patch test" to see if this is the color that you want to achieve. Note:Professionally sprayed tans seems to be the preferred way to go now, stay out of chlorinated pools or hot tubs if you want the look to last and not streak.

Takeaways
  • Sometimes it is better to be more natural
  • People can form an opinion about us by the clothes we wear
  • Be aware of what people see when they look at you
Did You Know?
Even if you are not "cheap" or "easy",you can appear to be, by your style of clothes

Thank you very much for this article! I need to take a close look at my face under different lighting to check the hair issue... or rather, have someone else look! And especially thank you for mentioning "too much perfume" -- I have met so many women who make this mistake, and for someone like me who has severe allergies, it literally means I cannot be around them for any length of time. Oftentimes I would like to make friends but I can't because I would sneeze constantly during any conversation we might have. Terrific presentation of your ideas!

Thanks for pointing out the problem of showing off excess flab when wearing a crop top. I would like to add that pregnant women should also avoid crop tops, no matter how fashionable they are. Ten years ago, I saw a pregnant woman wearing nothing on top but a sports bra -- it was so unattractive that I still remember it!
