Among anyone who follows politics, the biggest surprise by far has been the surge of Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee in the Republican field of nominees to get the party's nomination in the primary. Huckabee's polling numbers in Iowa were as low as 2% only a few months ago and now he is in front of the pack of candidates, polling with 22% of the voters. Still, a large majority of Iowa voters are undecided on who to vote for in the caucus. Iowa's caucus is the first state primary vote and is considered to be the most important. The winner of the Iowa caucus usually gets an immediate boost in the polls that affect voting in the subsequent primary voting states. In an election that has been anything but normal, Mike Huckabee has been surging in the polls, determined to win the hearts and minds of voters across the United States. He recently got the endorsement of actor Chuck Norris who has also been Huckabee's most outspoken and strongest campaign supporter.
Perhaps the only thing hindering Huckabee's campaign is his lack of money. The leading frontrunners of a few months ago which was Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City mayor, and Mitt Romney, the New Hampshire Governor, both received more than 20 million dollars in fundraising money. Huckabee got off to a late start with fundraising but has quietly started to pick up the pace. Without a strong candidate who has yet to emerge in the Republican field, Huckabee might just be the candidate to win the nomination. There had been a lot of talk as recent as two months ago among Republican campaign strategists of picking Huckabee to be the Vice President for whoever wins the party's nominee but after his strong surge in the polls, Huckabee appears to be a strong candidate to be the next president of the United States.
According to Republican campaign strategists, should Huckabee pull off the stunning upset of winning Iowa, he won't be facing the pressing financial issues he currently has now because more people will support his campaign and contribute financially.

Mike Huckabee is creating a buzz throughout the nation and just might have what it takes to be the next president of the U.S.
