Are you taking the kiddies shopping for Daddy's Christmas present? Are you on a budget this year? Just don't want to spend a fortune? I have experienced all three symptoms of Christmas overload this year! My latest adventure was deciding what to by for Dad without breaking the bank, while at the same time, getting a gift I know he will enjoy. I am more than happy to share my ideas and perhaps save a little stress for someone else this Christmas...and you don't even have to tell him that his gift was my idea!MP3 Player
This is available at Wal-mart, and was my first choice this year. I was able to pick up a Black SanDisk 1GB Sansa Clip MP3 player - Model #: SDMX11R-1024K-A70. It has a 1 GB flash memory capacity, FM radio and a microphone. The rechargeable battery holds a charge up to 15 hours. This gift retails for $37.88. This is a great gift for a Dad who is on the go, into sports, or just loves music. MP3 players are small so you can take them almost anywhere. There are many options in size shape and colors when it comes to MP3 players, but this was my choice.

Ski Lessons
This is a great gift that will also be a great investment. It is an investment in fun family time and great health! If Dad has always wanted to get out and learn how to ski, this could be the best opportunity. Most ski resorts offer ski lessons on an hourly basis. This is what we bought Dad last year. We bought him a two (2) hour lesson at Boyne Mountain, Michigan. After this lesson and few days on his own, he discovered a passion for the slopes he never knew was there. This is also a great way to help Dad stay active and healthy.
Most ski resorts offer both private and group lessons. Boyne Mountain Ski School, for example, can be found can be found at www.boyne.com. They list their rates as follows:
One-hour Private Lesson $62 one person and $23 for each additional person
Two-hour Private Lesson $116 one person and $43 for each additional person
Three-hour (Half day) Private Lesson $169 one person and $43 for each additional person
Six-hour (All day) Private Lesson $306 one person and $53 for each additional person
The group lesson prices are listed as follows:
