If I had to pick a saying that would describe the 2005 season of the Philadelphia Eagles, it would be “What goes up must come down”.

After dominating the NFC East division for five consecutive years, the Eagles came crashing back down to earth, going 0-6 against the Redskins, Cowboys, and Giants and an overall 6-10 record. I never thought I’d see the day when a team regarded as one of NFL’s elite would fall so fast and so hard. Ouch! Philly fans can think injuries and egos for the downfall of their favorite birds. Now that the 2006 season is right around the corner, the question becomes whether last year was a fluke or just the beginning a losing era in Philadelphia?

Only time will tell.

Before Terrell Owens, the Eagles played in three straight NFC Championship games with most of their core players that are currently on the roster. Sure they lost all three, but at least they were there. How many teams can say that their head coach was blessed enough to take a vacation to Hawaii three years in a row? The point is that the Eagles still have what it takes to win games. The problem is that the rest of the teams in the NFC East can win games as well. The division is no longer a joke in the NFL and the Eagles found that out the hard way last season. In order to have a fighting chance for a playoff spot, Philly will have to be competitive in the tough NFC East.

Let’s take a look at Eagles team, from Offense to Defense.
