Top MP3 Players Under $150: New Creative Labs Zen VPlus is Tops

Everyone has got one these days it seems, MP3 players are incredibly popular and you do not want to be the only person not sporting one of technology's new trends. If you are looking for a really great MP3 player at a really great price, then you should not overlook the new MP3 player by Creative Labs. It is the Creative Labs Zen v Plus MP3 player, model ZENV1GBWOR. The one I got to see was white and orange. 

If anything screams new age technology, it is this wonderful unit. The Zen has a built in 1 GB memory capacity, and is capable of storing hundreds of photos, short length video clips and more. Of course, you will have to keep in mind that these statistics are based on the fact that 1GB will be equal to one billion bytes of space and the available capacity will actually be less. 

The music space is based off of four minute songs encoded at sixty four bites per second WMA with a twenty gigabyte hard disk drive. Keep in mind that all available space on the disk drive can be used for video, pictures or audio tracks. What it all boils down to is air space up to sixty six hours 9at 128kbps), that's around a thousand MP3s. 

If that is not enough for you, you are unfortunately out of luck with this model because there is no expandable memory options. Another thing I thought was unattractive about this particular MP3 was that this model does not support WAV or OGG file formats. The upside is that this MP3 player does support all WAV file formats.

When it comes to uploading your favorite music, it is important to mention that the 2.0 USB interface comes built into this MP3 player, and there is ample data file storage. Other features on the ZEN model that will make you smile are the drag and drop data file options. You can easily select the music you want from your computer and simply drag and drop them into the ZEN qeue to be loaded into the MP3 player. there are no driver installations necessary, just sheer simplicity.
