It's the hottest game console for yet again another Christmas - and you can't find one. Again. Now you're in a desperate search for a Nintendo Wii and it's only a few days before Christmas. Where do you go, when do you go and what do you do to make sure Saint Nick has that precious Wii under the tree this year?

First, get online and start using the search engines such as Google and Yahoo to search out your target. There are a plethora of sites set up specifically to track deliveries of Nintendo Wiis across the country and if you're fast enough on the keyboard you might be able to snag one off of eBay or other online stores. At the end of this article you will find some of them listed, but use online search engines to stay updated. The problem with these sites is that they are time-sensitive and you have to literally be fast on the keys to get a Nintendo Wii to the electronic checkout counter before someone else can - but if you live in a rural area or am unable to travel it may be the best choice for you.

Another option is to go to online auction sites and bid on one of the many Nintendo Wii game consoles up for sale to the highest bidder. But be careful. Bidding on eBay or other auction sites for a Nintendo Wii has possible pitfalls, the least of which is that the game console doesn't arrive on time. There is a chance that you may end up paying for a product that the seller either doesn't have or ever will have; a criminal taking advantage of the craze right now to rip off unsuspecting consumers. If you do go to eBay or another auction site to bid on a Nintendo Wii please be careful - check the seller's credentials and see what sort of feedback has been given. If he/she has never sold anything before online nor has rather shady comments, if any, stay clear. It's much better that you pass on the auction and keep your hard-earned cash than be out hundreds of dollars and have nothing to show for it. While many auction sites have legal ways for you to retrieve your cash if an auction goes bad it's best to stay safe in the first place and not bid on any Nintendo Wii that seems too good to be true.
