Golf Club Review: The Mizuno MP-32 Iron

A Classic Beauty with a Modern Twist

Mizuno is definitely known for their work in making high performing blade irons for the better player. They have been in play by some of the best golfers in the world for over 20 years now, Tiger Woods once used a set to win the several US Amateur titles
and the Masters in 1997. Their irons are forged by one of the best foundries in the world and their quality control is second to none. The Mizuno MP-32 does not disappoint, and looks to be in the bags of many great players for years to come.

The Mizuno MP-32 is a forged muscle-back iron. It, like its older brothers in the MP line are made for low handicap amateurs and professionals. There is little in the way of forgiveness in this iron and is designed to be able to work the ball any which way you want it.

It features a small, compact head with little offset to speak of. This clean look behind the ball is what every good golfer and those who want to get better love to look at! They feature a new technology called "grain flow forging". This makes for an even better forging of the metals for more consistency and better feel. They also feature a new technology called "cut muscle" this moves a little weight directly behind the ball to the perimeter to offer these butter knifes "some" forgiveness

I had a good time hitting these irons. I am a shot maker, I don't hit the ball far so I need to be able to work the ball when and where I want it. I have spent time hitting and testing a lot of clubs over the years, and while I liked most of them, these are by far the best blade irons I have hit in a while. Simply the look alone did it for me.

I, and most good players do not want to see anything gimmicky behind the ball when they take their swing. A clean, straight faced chrome iron is more than enough, and even though there is no forgiveness with these irons, they filled me with a lot of confidence. Confidence in the fact that if I make the proper swing, these clubs will respond exactly how I tell them to. The "cut muscle" did not seem to affect ball flight compared to other Mizuno blades
