Creative Things to Do for After Christmas

After all the hoopla of wrapping and then unwrapping gifts and the slew of returns that happens the day after Christmas what do you do next to keep yourself and your family and guests entertained? There's things you can do to get through the holiday boredom besides taking back gifts that didnt fit or you didnt want. Many people create their own after Christmas activities and you can too just think of what you enjoy doing the day after Christmas, some people take in cheap shopping if they got a little extra change to spend, or some spend a relaxing day at home watching all-day movie marathons on their favorite television channel.

Many take in quality time with their friends and family with game day or night and even taking in a few favorite DVD movies that are long and making your favorite snack. Make scrapbooks out of the used cards and wrapping paper so it cuts down on excessive garbage, but at the same time preserving a special time in you and your family's lives. You can go outside and play in the snow and make snow men if you live in an area that got a good deal of snow, but nowadays it's been a tad bit warm for December, but you can get more out of after Christmas by donating extra things you don't need to a homeless shelter and clearing your house of unwanted clutter and at the same time doing a good deed for the year.

You can also recycle your old Christmas tree for some of you who purchased fresh trees you can turn it into mulch and use it in your plants and garden in the spring when you use it with compost. You can also make leftover dishes out of extra food you had from Christmas parties and have meals planned out for another week or two and don't really have to do much cooking. So many things you can do to lessen the trash and waste from the Christmas holiday by making use of extra food and wrapping paper to make other things out of it
