Is Britney Spears Drug-Testing Her Kids?

Is Britney Spears drug testing her children? It is quite common knowledge that there is no love lost between Britney Spears and her former husband and back-up dancer Kevin Federline. It is also common knowledge that Federline has called Britney's parenting tactics into question on numerous occasions in a very lengthy and brutal child custody battle. Well now it looks like Britney might have some concerns over Federline's parenting abilities.

"Britney believes Kevin's been smoking pot in front of the kids," says a friend of hers in the pages of Life & Style Magazine. "She says she can smell it in the boys' hair and on their clothes when she has her visitation with them.

The magazine goes on to say that Britney is so convinced that her is exposing their children, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James,1, to marijuana that she is going to have her children drug tested in the near future.

According to the magazine, An insider says, "She's asked the court-appointed monitor and her lawyers if they can prove the kids have been exposed to environments in which drugs have been taken."

If the drug tests are performed, and come back positive, than Britney and her lawyers will probably call for an emergency meeting. Since Britney submits to regular drug testing per a court order, her lawyers expect to easily prove that if there is marijuana in the childrens' systems than it could only have come from Kevin and they will attempt to gain custody from him and make him submit to routine drug testing as well.

Aside from the drug testing, Britney and Kevin's next court date over their children has been pushed back until February 19, but they could be seeing each other much sooner than that.

If the allegations do end up being true than who would truly make a better parent? One who exposes his sons to marijuana or one who drives negligently while her children are in the car and addicts them to sugar and fast food? We may not see and end to this mess until the children are legally adults and by then they may be to lost to save.
