Every Thursday night in June and September downtown Columbia comes alive with street musicians, carriage rides, local artists, a concert series and plenty of hands-on activities for the kids!  Admission to Twilight Festival is completely free and the fun lasts 6-10pm.

Downtown Columbia (also known as The District,) is home to 110 unique shops, 70 bars and restaurants, and 5900 parking spots!  Bordered by the University of Missouri campus, the District is 43 not-so-square blocks of fun.  During Twilight Festival the shops and restaurants stay open late to accommodate the needs of patrons, and to get in on a piece of the action!

From Jazz, to Swing, to Bluegrass (and everything in between) local musicians demonstrate their talents on the District's street corners, adding to the good-time atmosphere.  With new music every night, there's sure to be something for everyone.

Take a carriage ride through the festivities free of charge!  Carriages depart from both the Courthouse Square and Flat Branch Park. Sign-up for a whimsical ride through the lively mix of historic architecture, sidewalk cafés, vendors and music, begins at 5:45.  Sign-up early to ensure a spot!

Local artists are always a part of the Twilight Festival.  Some chose to set up booths on the sidewalks during Twilight Festival, while others prefer to secure a spot in one of the stores where their pieces are sold.  Either way, Twilight Festival is a great way to meet the artist behind the work.

The William Woods Stage in Courthouse Square is home to the Twilight Festival's concert series.  From 8-10 pm everything from rock to blues to a string quartet will have you dancing under the stars.

Also located in Courthouse Square is Twilight Festival's Kids' Camp.  With crawl-through adventures, chalk art,  hands-on activities, crafts, live animals, clowns and more - Kid's Camp is sure to be a hit with little ones who are full of energy!
