There are many diets out there for people to try, but sadly, not many of them work. I should know; I've tried them all. None of the diets worked as great as the Atkins diet.I started the Atkins diet two years ago and about 6 months ago I've stopped the diet in January, not that it didn't work, but since I don't have a job it's hard to afford some of the food. About six months ago I started the diet again and I noticed just have quickly the weight came off.
The Atkins Diet is a well-known low-carbohydrate diet that was adapted by the late Charles Atkins. This diet is considered to be the iconic and driving entity of the large "low-carb craze."
The Atkins diet claims that there are two main factors about eating habits, the main cause of obesity is eating refine carbohydrates (sugar, flour and corn syrups); and that saturated fat is overrated as a nutritional problem.
The Atkins Diet involves not eating carbohydrates in order to switch your body's metabolism from burning glucose to burning stored body fat instead. The diet restricts "net carbs-" carbs that affect our blood sugar. To get your net carb just subtract sugar alcohols and fiber from the total carbohydrates.
The Atkins website offers many different recipes for people to try ranging from red meat to poultry, fish and pork. You really can't go wrong with this diet. Many people don't realize how bad carbs are for you and all the fat gets stored in the body and before you lose weight you need to burn that fat.
I have a lot of success on the Atkins diet; keep in mind with any diet you need to exercise daily. Working out is one of the key factors in my weight loss; so don't think that just eating healthy will help you lose weight. Also remember, that no diet is an overnight miracle worker, the Atkins diet can take time before you start noticing the weight loss. It was about 30 days before I started noticing all the weight came off.
I have heard good things about Jenny Craig but I have to say that the Atkins diet was the best diet for me and it could be the best diet for you. Just give it a try, you won't be sorry.
