Associated Content (AC) is blessed with many talented writers. Some are humorous. Some are brilliant. Some are eccentric. Some educate. Some fill your heart with joy. Some reach into your very soul with their own.

Like most good writers, these individuals come from all walks of life. Some are students. Some are career people who write in their limited spare time. Some work from home. Some struggle to make writing their career.

Some of AC's writers are mothers and fathers. Some are grandmothers and grandfathers. Most lead very modest lives. Some are alone while others care for multiple members of their family.

However, all of them have one thing in common. All of them are utterly fascinating.

If I could, I would introduce you to every AC writer. Each one of them has something unique and special to offer. I know that because each many of them have taught me something valuable. They've taught me about the world, about life, about them, and even about a little bit about myself.

Since I can't possibly share information on all of them, I have chosen 10 of my favorite writers who I also consider fascinating. They are, by no means, the only writers here at AC that I enjoy. But these 10 are certainly worthy of recognition.

In no particular order, here is my list of the 10 most fascinating writers at Associated Content for 2007:

First on my list is a writer simply known as The Barefoot. This cerebral man of the 21st century enjoys software design, datamarts, humor and satire, and the comedy of the absurd.

His interest in writing came out of his love for telling stories. He says "even in grade school, I'd pass the walk home by telling tales to my friends." After that, he reports "it was an easy transition from speaking to writing."

He goes on to say "my writing style has been influenced heavily by my professional life. I do quite a lot of business writing like proposals, briefs, presentations, and technical documents. Those have taught me to organize my writings in to easily digestible packets."

He is surprised that so many people enjoy his writing. "My biggest reward is when someone gets and appreciates my meager efforts."

Takeaways
  • There are lots of talented writers here at Associated Content.
  • AC is also full of writers who are willing to able their fellow colleagues.

WOW! Great piece! I will be sure to read their work. I am a true Trekkie, and have seen every Star Trek, Star Trek offspring, and Deep Space Nine episode at least 3 or 4 times. This was so interesting!

What a terrific read! I really enjoyed "getting more acquainted" with these great CPs. Thanks for writing this.

They all sound wonderful -- and as with the poets, I haven't read any of them yet! But you can be sure I will. Unlike some commenters here, I do tend to rate good quality writing over the topic of the article; for example, I don't enjoy watching most sports, but something written about sports by a compelling author is something I will read. Great job, Charlie!

It's so great you made a list like this, I didn't know many of these writers and I can't wait to see their articles!

One person's fascinating can be another person's boring. That does not mean to imply that a CP is not an excellent writer. I might just consider reading articles from a Trechie due to your rave about writing skills, for instance. My son and a brother find Star Trek a fascinating subject while my mind drifts away, ya see. One of my fave CPs just published an article about pro-football contest and I could not force myself to give him the page views. I think Vapour of Africa is the most fascinating AC CP as far as extraordinary talent. Life stories of CPs is what I find fascinating. Others find "yet another abused women" tales boring. Enjoyed this article.

This was a true honor. To be numbered amongst these writers, all of whom I either now read or from this want to read, really feels satisfying. It was so well written and so motivational. Thanks so much for including me!
