Having a hard time figuring out what to do with the family on New Year's Eve?

How about some hoops? Rawwrrr! The Charlotte Bobcats are playing an early New Year's Eve game against the Indiana Pacers. Lately the basketball legend himself, Michael Jordan, has been working out and practicing with the team and boy has it been a motivator. The Bobcats are playing with a new awe-inspiring intensity that you just don't want to miss. You can purchase tickets for the 2:00 p.m. game at www.nba.com/bobcats

Brrrrr! I love rolling my r's. Put some chill in your evening after the game with a round of Ice Skating. The kids will have an absolute blast! Hosted by a local media station, WBT's Holiday on Ice on The Green in Uptown is a wonderful way to celebrate the Holidays. Admission is $7 and skate rentals are $3. If you don't make it out on New Year's Eve, no worries, the rink is open until January 6th. Check www.wbtholidayonice.com for directions and make sure you bundle up!

If neither of those ideas suits you, the family could always opt for a fun-filled evening at the local bowling alley. Through January 13th, Centennial Lanes is having their Holiday Bowl Giveaway. You can bowl and get a free instant win game card,( no purchase necessary of course) which means you'll have a chance to win some awesome prizes. Put the bumpers up for the kids and win yourself a flat-screen tv while you're at it. Check their site for more details. www.amf.com/centenniallanes
