Top Fade Cream Products Under $10, for People of Color

...A World of Skin Care Products

It is common knowledge that African American skin is much different than the skin of other ethnic groups. Step out onto any beach, and one will notice that many African American people do not slather on gobs of sunscreen (though it has been proven that this group of people is prone to
sunburn as well). Because African Americans and olive-toned people have larger melanosomes in their skin, which is what determines the color, there is a great chance of hyper-pigmentation following a trauma to the skin. That trauma includes, but is not limited to acne scarring, ingrown hairs or even cuts and scrapes.

For this reason, in addition to others, fade creams are a big seller. Below is a list of popular fade cream products which can be purchased for fewer than ten dollars:

PALMER’S SKIN SUCCESS Fade Cream - This cream is formulated with vitamin C and E, and is very good at evening out a complexion. In addition to that, the formula fades dark spots more quickly than other creams. The cream is white in color. But do not be surprised if over a period of time, the cream becomes brown. This is normal, as the chemicals react to light and cause the cream to become discolored.

NADINOLA Skin Discoloration Fade Cream - This is a product which has been on the market for years. In addition to leaving skin softer, this product fades dark spots as well. One point of interest in particular is the fact that it fades the dark areas which can occur during the use of oral contraceptives.

BLACK & WHITE Bleaching Cream with Hydroquinone - One of the least expensive of fade creams, this cream comes in a really convenient tube. It contains many of the same ingredients as other fade creams. But users of this product often report that it is less greasy than other formulas. This is a good product to use for freckles, and age or liver spots.

Im african american iam a coa coa bronz complexion and my scars where like a dark chocolate color.and I've had acne for the first time about 8 yrs ago , so i went to the doctor and asked what should i use he gave me benzoyl peroxide in a gel form and it was the WORST product ever it literaly burned my skin and caused my skin to peel and it left awful scars behind,i was soo embarresed becuz my skin wasn't flawless anymore so i used palmers fading soap and cream its cheap i bought it from the dollar store ..it didn't work a miracle but it did fade it alot. i did lighten the scars a little but when i used proactive it really worked for me it CURED the roughness of my skin it wasn't scaley from the scars and i seen how black and white fading soap and cream and ambi works on my much darker cousin so i will use that ...But I know that palmers did help and Proactive was a miracle.

I'm African-American and I've had dark spots on my face from scratching at pimples ever since I hit puberty. It got to the point where I couldn't go anywhere or do anything without wearing makeup I was so embarrassed and self-conscious. But I've been using Palmer's Skin Success for about 2 months now and IT WORKS! I use a spot treatment directly on the black marks, at night before going to bed and 2x a day on the weekends. Once I get rid of those blemishes I will apply to larger areas to really even out my skin tone. My face is almost clear and I don't feel the need to wear makeup unless it's a special occasion. I also use Proactiv to keep the acne under control. Never used Ambi, but those two are probably the best and most affordable fade cremes out there. Good luck!

I have used Palmers and it does work well. But an African friend of mine recommended Movate cream. I had heavy scarring on my face from acne and shaving unfortunately...but I have used the product at nice everday for 4 weeks and the scares have faded about 60%. Continued use I'm sure will yield even better results.
