The Keemum, or also known as Keemun Tea, is a Chinese black tea which is prized in Asia for its aroma, and complex flavor. In China, Keemum tea is considered to be a famous and elite grade of tea which is highly prized by many tea loving individuals. In fact, some tea specialty stores will even stock up on the Keemum tea whenever they have a chance. In China, tea is considered an art, and definitely a luxury. There are many different types of tea with many different flavors for different tastes.

In Anhui Province, the Keemum black tea is been grown there, and is native to that area ever since the 1800's. Prior to the development of this black tea, Anhui was only known for producing green tea which is also beautiful and a great selection for all the tea lovers out there. After allowing their tea to ferment, and turn into black tea, Anhui realized hat they have a tea which is special, unique, and stand out from the rest. It wasn't long before it became a popular product. To this day, the best Keemum tea comes from a county in Anhui still, and is incomparable to the rest. Finding good quality Keemum tea leaves is a definitely a gift for all the tea lovers out there.

The Keemum Tea has a slight fruity aroma to it which pleases many of its consumers. The tea has a hint of the earth and wood like pine which adds onto its specialty. The Keemum tea when brewed correctly comes to a nice, rich gold color. The tea also has a hint of floral taste, and some consumers will even add some dried flower petals to accentuate the floral flavor.

When brewing Keemum tea, there are a couple of factors to keep in mind. For one, it is important not to brew the tea for too long as it will become bitter after a while. The general amount of time will depend on how many tea leaves is being brewed, and the size of the teapot; however, generally, the time should fall between three to five minutes. Make sure, that the water added into the teapot is boiled otherwise it will not be able to fully extract the flavor of the Keemum tea. Also, if you want a stronger flavor, do not leave the tea leaves in the teapot for a longer time; instead, add more tea leaves to the teapot.
