Mardi Gras. We all know what goes on there. The question is, is it moral to bare breasts for beads? Why would a girl do this for beads? What do they have to gain? I decided to go out and ask 5 guys and 5 girls 5 questions about Mardi Gras.

What is Mardi Gras? Though few actually knew why there was a festival, all of them knew one thing. It's a place to party all night long for 2 weeks and to see girls baring it all in public.

Is it immoral for girls to flash for beads? 1 out of 10 said it was immoral and degrading to all women. The other nine agreed that a girl has the right to express themselves and that showing your top half is more a way of showing the world you're not ashamed of your body. Whether for beads or not didn't seem to be the question.

Does alcohol have any part in flashing? Of course it does was the most used answer followed by a close second of yes. This leaded to the next question.

If alcohol is involved then are these girls really in control? One of the girls stated "Alcohol, for me, just helps me do what I want to do, that I'm afraid to do when I'm not drinking." Though alcohol is a major factor, the fact is that the girls flashing are there to party and flash. No one is forcing them to do it; they do it on their own.

This brings us to the last question. Is America's moral compass affected by Mardi Gras? Most didn't know where to go with this question but one said, "I think the best thing about America is that we are free to choose our own morals. Whether it's moral or not is not the question. It's about having fun and doing what you want to do. If not Mardi Gras then where?" If you don't let people express themselves somewhere then they will be forced to do it elsewhere. Mardi Gras seems to be a good place to get it out of your system.

Mardi Gras like any other event is a place to have fun. Everyone has there own idea's of what fun is and everyone tries to fulfill there desires so they can have fun. What is moral for one person is immoral for the next and so, in my opinion, if a girl wants to bare it all at Mardi Gras or anywhere else... The more power to you. Expression is the right of all americans. There is nothing immoral about that.
