Celebrate the New Year in a Safe Family Friendly Event Right in Your Neighborhood

Our family has always used New Year's Eve has a family night. Even as a small child I remember fighting to stay awake at basketball games, black tie events, and so much more. The older I got the more I enjoyed these family nights and now with a family of my own we continue the tradition. Here are

some of our favorite activities...

Mitchell Park Domes
Enjoy comedy, music, food, and more while enjoying the Mitchell Park Domes New Year's Eve party. The Domes are a unique and fun adventure on their own, but when you add in all the party activities you get a fun and safe family New Year's Eve event that you will talk a bout for years to come.

Moonlight Bowling
I enjoy bowling, but we rarely take the time to bowl. Some of my favorite memories are Moonlight Bowling with the whole family and I do mean whole family. One year we had six lanes reserved and still had to take turns bowling because there were so many of us. Many of the bowling ally's now have packages with unlimited bowling and some even have buffets included, gotta love that! Just a caution, find an ally that is hosting a family event, not a drinking and bowling fest.

Game Night
Board games can be great fun, especially with a large group of mixed ages. Some of our families most hilarious moments are from New Year's Eve game nights. Games like Apples to Apples, Guesstures, Catch Phrase, and Taboo are great fun. More recently we have had an American Idol singing contest using the American Idol video game. Which was great fun considering not a one of us has any musical talent!

It is important to remember that Miller offers free rides on New Year's Eve. You can find out more information at the Miller Free Rides web site. Keep yourself and your family safe, never drink and drive, and remember that 9-1-1 is available to respond to and stop suspected impaired drivers.

It must be fun to live up north in the winter and enjoy the snow and all those other activities! Here we sit and look out at the dead trees and plants and wish for a white Christmas. Then when it snows everything stops moving because we're not prepared to deal with it. Have a great Christmas!
