Los Angeles Police Search for Sexual Predator and Kidnapper

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the LAPD is currently looking for a sexual predator who molested a teenage girl and then tried to kidnap a 4-year-old girl in the North Hills back on December 14.

The incident happened at around 7:45 in the evening on December 14. A 17-year-old girl was walking to a store located on the corner intersection of Rayen Street and Langdon Avenue in the city. Suddenly, a man approached her from the front and touched her thigh. He then proceeded to smile at the young girl and then walked away.

Just an hour later, the same man went to an apartment courtyard located on the 15500 block of Rayen Street and began bothering a group of young children who were playing in the area. When the suspect spotted a security guard coming towards him, he fled the scene.

The security guard then went back inside the building. When the suspect saw him leave, he came back and then walked back to the children once more. This time, he grabbed a four-year-old girl who was sitting on the ground playing with a toy. An older boy, who recognized the suspect and the girl, reportedly ran to the suspect. He then put the young girl down and casually walked away. The whole courtyard incidence was caught on tape by a surveillance video

Police are looking for the suspect for touching the teen and for trying to kidnap the four-year-old. He is described as being a Latino man and possibly a North Hills resident between the ages of 30 and 35. He is also 5 feet 7 inches tall and between 140 and 180 pounds in weight. He also had a small, but distinct, faded scar on his left cheek. He was last seen wearing a black beanie with an Oakland Raiders logo, a dark colored and long sleeve shirt, dark pants, and white shoes.

The LAPD suspects that he was involved in two other sexual assaults within that same area. Because of this incident, police are urging women not to walk by themselves, especially at night. They are also encouraging anyone to report someone who is acting suspicious.
