Every year my grandchildren gather around my computer during our family's Christmas Eve gathering to watch for Santa on the computer. For several years now, we have followed Santa's trail on the Norad website. You and your family can do the same at http://www.noradsanta.org/ This has become as much as part of our family's tradition as anything else. I now have 16 grandchildren and watching their excitement grow as the little Santa gets close to us is a treat for the adults. One funny little mention, there is a radio tower on a nearby hill, and even though the children have seen this radio tower many times, they still panic when, as they are leaving, they see Rudolph's nose. Afraid they will not make it home before he gets to their house they rush to the car. Of course the ten and eleven year olds giggle at the little ones thinking this is Santa, when they know it is really the radio tower. They don't say a word though, because even though they are "big" you can tell they still think "well maybe". I can remember when they thought it was Santa, too. I must admit the parents use that as a way to hurry the kids to the car.The Norad site is a great site for the kiddies, with lots of activities. New to the site this year, is the North Pole Village. There is a lot of fun hidden here. The children click on each of the many little shops in the village to find out which shop is the busiest and to see what is going on I each. When they click on the shop they will discover fun activities and Santa secrets. Such as The Super Top Seceret Norad File: "Operation Ho-Ho-Ho" - Santa's Sled Specs, and games such as Santa's Bureau of Investigation. Travel on around to Candy Kingdom and see how good you can drive Santa's sleigh. The North Pole International Airport actually links to Google Earth, and by entering an address; you can fly over and see things the way Santa does. I have also provided a link to Google Earth.
Norad Village is also doing a countdown to Christmas.
