Why Ghosts Can't Possibly Exist

I believe in rhyme and reason, and if ghosts exist, there is absolutely no rhyme and reason to it.

For all you ghost believers out there, here are some compelling questions. But before I begin, I will say that many people who believe in ghosts have never seen one. So this content, then, is directed towards them. I'm not going to convince a person, who believes he saw a ghost, that
ghosts do not exist. This is for believers who have never seen a ghost or apparition.

If ghosts exist...ever wonder why the only places they haunt are either old Victorian mansions, prisons, abandoned farm houses or other abandoned buildings, graveyards, and places where deaths have occurred such as bridges, old country roads and houses? Don't you find this a bit odd? How come hospitals aren't infested with ghosts? Lots of people die in hospitals.

Many people die on the streets in car wrecks. You'd think that ghosts would be appearing left and right on major highways and intersections.

And when ghosts do appear, why do they always seem to be from a specific era of time, namely, the 19th and 18th centuries? Or earlier, but not too early? In other words, the apparitions wear clothes indicative of these particular centuries.

Where are all the ghosts of times going much further back, when men and women wore animal skins? Why don't we see ghosts of people who lived 10,000 years ago? Why don't we see ghosts of cavemen? Why don't we see ghosts of modern man, like the ghost of someone wearing bell bottoms yielding a peace sign?

Why do ghosts run the moment we see them? Are they afraid of us, like we're going to kill them? Why don't ghosts ever appear before huge crowds of people? Ever wonder why child ghosts are always spotted disappearing around a corner? Or scurrying away to a room, never to be seen after that? Is this the typical behavior of children? I'd think that even in ghost form, a child would want to come up to adults and interact.

You won't out right dismiss the possibility of ghosts when: 1) you have a lesser need for control in your life and (subconscious fear of the unexplainable and perception of it as a threat), 2) can be more comfortable thinking in the abstract (able to relinquish some degree of control in life). Also, I don't know where you got your information (perhaps Hollywood?). I can counter almost everything that you've written with a plausible and even supported explanation. As an example, there are numerous reports about ghosts from locations and eras other than those that you've claim are predominant e.g. abandoned farm houses and spirits from the 19th C. The bottom line; the belief or non belief in ghosts is a truism. Their existence can't be proven nor can it be disproven.

I think there is a reason why your asking these questions....you are actually questioning yourself here! You might not be ready...but I think, by reading through what you've written, there are too many unanswered questions for you. Time for you to go on a haunting mission and find out for yourself. I believe they are real for the simple reason, what's the best way to communicate to a loved one there is life after death...think about it? Yes indeed, the most efficient way is waiting until 4am when everybody is in between sleep and awaken states - and then knocking on walls or closing a door when nobody is looking. makes complete sense. I have a friend who sees ghosts, luckily he's no longer scared and sticks around to actually see whats going on. It turns out they are all misinterpretations of common objects. Rather than shit his pants he waits and watches calmly - every entity he sees morphs back into what it really was. Say towels set on a chair, curtains in a weird shape etc etc. I thought I saw a little girl once and I freaked, in that moment I conquered my fear and watched...low and behold she morphed into some duvet that had been left by mistake on the couch. Your brain maps your environment - it's rather like internet cookies, a cache of where you live etc. When somethin

Who cares about where a ghost would haunt! How is a soul supposed to take the shape of its old original body.Does the soul have a brain to know where its going?Does it float around going woooo using the vocal chords it doesnt have?People's experiences with ghosts are obviously mental with redicuclusness or watch tv or heard stories. There is something I do believe in.Dont get me wrong. There is such a thing as a ghost. But I like to call it a dying life force.Dont ever tell me you've seen a ghost.Or heard a ghost.Or smelled a ghost.Touched a ghost or even tasted a ghost if it looked like your dead grandmother and she spoke to you and you had a chat.or your dead dog, friend.Whatever man.It bogus.Dont even get me started on God.God is too much to be just one thing. For God is not a he or she.But an "it" if you must."It" being everything.Including a he and she and the molecules its made up of."Everthing".Whatelse could be more power than everything?Nothing.Only God.Get it?Got it?Good.

Regarding God... Man created "God" in his image, that's the truth of the matter, just like "Man" created ghosts in his image. One thing God and Ghosts have in common are they are both created by humans.

I work in a hospital and have been there for 16 1/2 yrs and the place is very haunted. I have heard many people share the same stories of their experiences, i myself have experienced a few scary situations working at night and one person quit and never came back to the hospital after a ghost tapped him on the shoulder. (This also happened to another worker there, making the story authentic.) Its a military hospital and I believe its about 60 yrs old. Of course, there is alot of death and many spirits still lingering around. I have many amazing stories if you care to hear about them.

I believe you. A lot of the things you stated are very well written, specific, and detailed. Not to mention, much of the information you provided us with is basically true. Now, this is my opinion, as for others well....that's on them. But if there is one thing I am most definitely sure of along with a variety of other people it's that we can't possibly be one hundred percent positive until our time has come. It is at that particular point in time that we shall finally discover the most logical answer (do spirits exist, or do they not exist). For now all we can do is wait.

You are directing this content towards those who have never saw a ghost but yet believe. Do you consider it strange that many people believe in God, yet have never seen Him before? Direct an article towards them and try and explain why He doesn't exist and see your response. I'm a firm believer in God, but I have not seen him. It's called FAITH. If people want to have faith that ghosts exist, go ahead and let them. I'm not knocking your work, I think it's very well written. I'm just stating my opinion.

Well; first you're assuming people will confess to seeing ghosts. The few that claim to have done so often seem to be trying to force a fake experience for psychological reasons. However consider this: If someone had a genuine paranormal experience, don't you think they'd be very interesting to governments and individuals who would try to control or manipulate them for nefarious purposes? Of course. Governments and individuals with the power to pull it off try to manipulate and coerce individuals for multiple reasons now, such as over technological discoveries, witnessing something that happened, or whatever. So, a smart person who actually did have any sort of a paranormal experience would never put themselves or their families at risk by actually admitting it.
