Jeff Bates has done what he does best on his second cd release. He's found some songs to laugh with, to cry with, to ponder and most of all to relate to. From the fun loving "Rub It In" cover
to the sensual title cut and the life changing "One Second Chance" and the agony of unexpressed pain of loss in "I Can't Write That" Jeff offers a cd that people can relate to in their own lives by finding the common ground we all share.

The cd also contains the "radio version" of the hit "Long Slow Kisses", a live recording of the kick-it-up-and-have-fun-anyway song "What I Know" and a tribute "Mama Was A Lot Like Jesus."

Critics will say there's fewer self-penned songs on this cd. The songs selected are no less relevent. They reach people and they matter. Two songs in particular - "One Second Chance" (and the video that illustrates it) and "The Woman He Walked On" have brought many comments and fans from people who relate to the words of the songs.

The upbeat tongue in cheek "Hands On Man" talks of working on engines but hints at working on relationships. Not to be left out is "Good People" - a reminder that good people can be found behind a number of appearances and facades.

A+++ on this CD - top class from top to bottom and worth adding to any country collection.
