We live in a time of specialization, information dissemination and customization. With the advent of the Internet, consumers are more informed, more particular and more demanding. They want what they want when they want it, exactly the way they like it. This is challenging for big businesses that are trying to respond quickly to the newest demands of cell phone colors, clothing designs and custom features in everything from kitchen appliances to car parts.

On the other hand, this growing demand for customization is a blessing for the entrepreneur.

There are people out there looking for exactly what you have to offer. They don't want some corporate, commercialized knock-off of what it is they want. They want EXACTLY what they want, a uniqueness, a character, a specific perspective - the very same thing YOU have to offer by virtue of you just being you. And guess what? They'll even pay you for your specialty!

The fabulous thing about these consumers is that they'll search all over the Internet to find you. They'll Google you, Yahoo for you, look on eBay, Amazon, Craigslist, wherever they can. They'll even buy from outside their country if that's where you are and you have exactly what they're looking for. They know what they want, and they know someone has it. They're looking. You just have to find a way to get found.

If you're a painter, sculptor, woodcarver, metalworker, candle maker or any sort of product producer, once you find your way into local markets you can find yourself all over the world.

If you're a consultant, designer, producer, actor, singer, infopreneur or any sort of service provider, all you have to do is get people to see what you do and those that like your work will become loyal fans and support you.

Understand that what you have to offer, people are already looking for. Whatever it is you're trying to sell, there are people that want to buy. Sometimes it's easy - you know what they're looking for so you provide it and get instant sales. Sometimes it's harder - people don't even realize they need it until you convince them so.
