Big Bird wanted to buy one last Christmas present before the stores closed. He was going to get a special gingerbread cookie for Cookie Monster. Unfortunately, Big Bird got lost and walked away from Sesame Street into another town. Big Bird came upon a large pussy cat and asked for directions.

"Hi, Mr. Cat, my name is Big Bird and I'm lost. I'm trying to find my way back to Sesame Street. I'm going to purchase a special treat for Cookie Monster at Dave's Market before it closes. Can you help me?"

"Suffering Sucatash, you're the biggest bird I've ever seen. How would you like to be my dinner? I mean, have dinner with me tonight? By the way, my name is Sylvester."

"Well, that's very nice of you to ask, but I've really got to get back to Sesame Street."

Sylvester thought for a moment and then remarked, "If you just stand over that tall building for one minute, I'll bring back a map and show you how to get to Sesame Street."

"Thank you, Sylvester. I appreciate all your help. Maybe you would like to have Christmas dinner at Sesame Street."

"I'm afraid I can't. I'm planning to have roast bird for dinner."

"Anyone I know?" asked Big Bird.

"You'll soon find out. Now just stand over that building. Very good! I'll be back in a few minutes."

Sylvester took a large anvil and carried it up ten flights of stairs. "This anvil is heavy, but if it lands on Big Bird, I'll be having dinner for days." Sylvester stood on top of the building and prepared to drop the anvil on Big Bird. All of a sudden, Tweety appeared in the sky.

"I though I saw a puddy tat. Oh hello puddy. What are you holding in your hands?"

"Scram it Tweety! I'm about to have a gourmet meal."

Tweety saw Big Bird below. "Oh, you're not thinking of dropping that big anvil on Big Bird. Bad puddy tat!"

"Yes I am. Now leave me alone."

Tweety flew all around Sylvester and started to tickle him. Sylvester tried to hold onto the anvil, but the tickling made him weak and he dropped it on his foot. Sylvester lost his balance and plunged ten stories to the ground. He looked up at Big Bird and said, "Merry Christmas," and then passed out.

Twetty flew over to Big Bird. He told Big Bird what Sylvester was planning to do to him.
